Check This Out

On a related note, I spoke with my mother yesterday. Thanks to Doogie for leaving Luke 9:60 for me to look up. Thanks also to the Holy Spirit for leading me to this gem during my Light Weigh Bible Study on Monday:

...do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say. You will be given at that moment what you are to say. For it will not be you who speak but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

So, I didn't worry and called on the Holy Spirit before I called and prayed to have her heart softened. I got her voice mail and left a little message saying I had news and I thought she could guess what it was. :-) She called back about ten minutes and said, "You have news? You're pregnant."

She was civil. Not bubbling over with excitement, but definitely not disappointed like with previous announcements. She did mention because I'm not that far along she won't be telling anyone for a while.

God is so good!
